Essendon has made a late change for tonight's clash with Carlton, with Tom Cutler (calf) replaced by young winger Brayden Ham.

Cutler joins captain Dyson Heppell (ankle) and Matt Guelfi (omitted) in exiting the side which defeated Sydney in round two, replaced by Ham, Orazio Fantasia and Martin Gleeson.

The Bombers will be striving to achieve a 3-0 start to the season for the first time since 2013.
