Dear Members,

With the AFL tribunal’s decision on 34 past and present Essendon players now less than two weeks away, I thought it important to give our loyal members and fans an update on the pending decision.

Firstly, it is worth reminding our supporters that our past and present players are receiving independent legal advice from the AFLPA and it would be inappropriate for the Club to be directly advising players who have received infraction notices.

The Essendon Football Club and Board are fully cooperating with the AFL during this tribunal process and importantly will continue to support our players’ interests in whatever way we can.

The EFC Board have put in place scenario planning for 31 March, covering all possible outcomes. This is responsible governance and appropriate corporate planning.

That said, and as we stated on multiple occasions, the Club remains confident, based on all the information we have available, that our players have not taken any banned supplement.
