Football fever hit a number of schools in the north-west region of Melbourne this week, as the Bombers’ players took the time to visit school children following their Round 1 victory against Adelaide.
The players visited schools including Assumption College, Sunbury College, Beveridge PS, Keilor Views PS amongst a number of others.
Going back to school for the day, the Bombers’ took physical education and sport and recreation classes and hosted reading lessons with the club's novel ‘Pencil O’Reilly’.
Jake Melksham and David Myers became teachers for the day, after taking a reading class at Assumption College in Keilor.
Essendon Football Club continues to deliver the most engaging and interactive youth and education programs – supporting the learning and development of young children from kindergarten through to VCE.
The club’s youth and education programs include the newly established Kinder Carnival, On The Ball, as well as the comprehensive Literacy and senior school programs.
