SO FAR THIS YEAR:

Predicted to be a finals threat in 2016, the Tigers have struggled on the field losing a number of key players to injury throughout the early parts of the year. They have shown patches of good form and currently sit in 13th place with six wins and nine losses. Richmond showed plenty of spirit in their narrow loss to the Bulldogs last week and will surely come out firing this week.

THE NUMBERS:

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

Dustin Martin:

It’s been said time and time again, but Dustin Martin is the number one danger player for the Bombers this Saturday. The midfielder is leading the way for the Tigers on the field, averaging close to 30 disposals a game as well as a team high 12 contested possessions a game.

Take a closer look at how the Dustin Martin match-up may pan out in this week’s Burning Questions.

Jack Riewoldt:

Despite being well held by Patty Ambrose the last time these two teams met, the power forward is always a threat. Riewoldt remains the Tigers’ number one goal scorer so far in 2016 and also leads the team for total marks.

Brett Deledio:

Deledio was at his very best in the round ten clash showing class with his 23-disposals and three goals. The Tigers’ spiritual leader has recovered well from an injury interrupted start to the season to average 24 disposals, 5 marks and kick nine goals from just 10 games of footy.

Shaun Grigg:

Grigg comes in as the only change to the Richmond side this week returning from a minor knee injury that kept him out of their ten-point loss to the Dogs. The durable midfielder was ranked amongst the Tigers’  in round 10, collecting 23 disposals and kicking two goals. In one of his best seasons to date, Grigg has averaged 26 disposals, five marks, four tackles and kicked six goals from his 14 games this year.
