Essendon star Dyson Heppell believes the playing group is already preparing to attack the 2014 season after missing their opportunity to play finals in 2013.
The 21-year-old is continuing his recovery from footy surgery he underwent at season’s end including taking part in voluntary gym sessions over the last week.
A number of Bombers have been seen in the gym since the season finished as they choose to begin preparations for next season.
"Coming off that season (2013) everyone is just raring to go already for next year," Heppell said.
“Sitting down with a few of the boys on the weekend and watching the games it certainly made us more hungry to get out there.”
Heppell said he had heard nothing about players wanting to walk out on the club under circumstances relating to the ASADA investigation.
"I haven't heard anything about any of the boys wanting to leave."
"Why would you want to leave such a great club with such a proud history?”
"I have absolutely loved my time at Essendon and I can not see anyone leaving."
Heppell is currently in a moon boot for another month as he recovers from his surgery.
