Australia’s favourite air joins Australia’s favourite football club
Essendon Football Club is delighted to announce, Fujitsu General, as the club’s new co-major partner for the next four years.
As part of the new sponsorship agreement, the Fujitsu General logo will be displayed on the front of the Bombers jumper for home matches and back of the jumper for away matches in 2014.
Essendon chairman, Paul Little, welcomed Fujitsu General to the Bombers.
“We are thrilled to announce this exciting partnership between two iconic brands and we look forward to building a successful long-term relationship with Fujitsu General,” Little said
“Fujitsu General air conditioning systems deliver performance and efficiencies of a world class standard, which is why more and more people are enjoying Fujitsu Comfort in their homes and work places every day.
“We believe the Essendon brand and greater Essendon supporter base can add some great value over the next four years to the Fujitsu General business.
“Essendon was the most watched team in 2013, we have more than 56,000 members, we have just moved in to a new training and administration facility and we have an emerging team that is about to enter an exciting era over the next few years.
“Given the difficult year the club has faced, it is extremely pleasing that Fujitsu General has chosen to be a part of our future and we anticipate this will be the start of an enduring partnership together.”
Fujitsu General Deputy Managing Director Philip Perham said it was exciting to be forming a new partnership with the Bombers.
“Essendon is an iconic brand in the Australian sporting landscape with 140 years of proud history,” Perham said.
“There are great synergies in the brand values of both Essendon and Fujitsu General - we are both like minded organisations with high ambitions for the future.”
“As part of our strategic vision, our sponsorship with Essendon is also a great opportunity to extend our footprint into the Victorian market, as well as supporting one of the most successful football clubs in Australia.”
“In light of the events of this year, we did our due diligence including independent research and analysis by a third party.”
“We’ve been in discussions with Essendon for more than 12 months. Essendon has been open and transparent about what happened in 2012 and the process of the investigation in 2013.”
“The club has implemented a number of significant governance reforms to its management, processes and procedures - we are comfortable with these actions and confident in the future direction of Essendon Football Club.”
Importantly True Value Solar, a co-major partner since 2011, will remain a sponsor of the Essendon Football Club at a major partnership level. More details about this exciting announcement will be made in the coming weeks.
