Over eight thousand Bomber fans have turned out to Windy Hill for the 2013 Family Day, proudly presented by Red Energy.

Fans interacted with their favourite players and took part in the many activities on offer as temperatures soared to over 35 degrees.

The players were presented with their 2013 guernsey, posed for photos and signed autographs for the red and black faithful.

Essendon coach James Hird praised the crowd for their attendance in such hot conditions.

“The turn out today has been sensational, to have so many Essendon supporters here today is great,” Hird said,

“We have a great club, we have a great supporter group and that is what is going to keep us going.”

“The players I know love all the support that they get from you the fans.”

The club would like to thank all fans for attending and continuing to show their support for the red and black in 2013.
