Essendon players took time out of their busy pre-season schedule to take in the tennis fever at Melbourne Park on Thursday.

A group of Bombers headed to watch day four action from the Australian Open at Melbourne Park.

The big names in action include Australian rising star Bernard Tomic and five-time winner Serena Williams.

New recruit Brendon Goddard and forward Stewart Crameri took the time to get their hands on the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup (Women’s trophy) and the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup (Male’s trophy).
