Essendon defender Conor McKenna has been suspended for three weeks after pleading guilty to a “quick nip” on Western Bulldog Tory Dickson.
McKenna attended the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night following a serious misconduct charge for the incident in Essendon’s loss to the Bulldogs on Sunday.
McKenna expressed his remorse after the hearing and took responsibility for the incident.
“I take full responsibility for my actions, I’m very sorry for what I’ve done,” McKenna said.
“I’m just going to look forward to moving on and getting on with the season.”
McKenna will be available to return for Essendon’s clash with Hawthorn in round seven.
