Essendon has cooked up an exciting new partnership with renowned chef Adrian Richardson for this season’s Culinary Chairman’s Functions.
The La Luna Restaurant chef and owner was selected as the club’s new head chef for the exclusive functions before Essendon’s games against Carlton in Round 3, Richmond in Round 11, Melbourne in Round 13 and Collingwood in Round 17.
Richardson, a lifelong avid Essendon fan, said he was thrilled with the new culinary partnership.
“I went to school in the area and I remember going to Windy Hill. To be a part of this, it’s like I could retire now,” Richardson said.
“I’ve got three boys and we all support Essendon. It’s all about the guys on the ground, but it’s also a great opportunity for the club to shine in the kitchen too.”
Last week, Dyson Heppell and Cale Hooker were on hand at La Luna to present Richardson with his own Essendon guernsey to announce the exciting new partnership.
