Essendon has kept its September dream alive with an inspirational 15 point win tonight against St Kilda at The Dome. In what was a memorable night for the Bombers, Matthew Lloyd celebrated his 200th game in the best possible way as Essendon sent a strong message to the competition it is not finished with yet in 2005.
Priority picks, number one draft picks, multiple top 10 draft picks – the Saints have had it all in recent seasons but it wasn’t enough to shut down an Essendon side that just wouldn’t lay down. And importantly it was the Bombers’ youngsters that did the job under extreme pressure.
