The Bombers are set to receive a boost ahead of Friday night’s clash against Sydney with Tom Bellchambers and David Myers in line to return from injury.
Myers will test his fitness at training during the week after completing his rehabilitation from a hamstring strain.
“David did full rehabilitation on the weekend and cleared everything when he did a full session,” club doctor Bruce Reid said.
“He will now join training with the whole group and be available for selection.”
Myers last played in the team’s Round 5 loss to St Kilda before missing three weeks with the hamstring complaint.
Bellchambers, who is continuing his return from pre-season ankle surgery, is expected to train with the main group throughout the week and will put his name up for selection.
“Tommy’s ankle is good, he just had a little bit of soreness a little further down his foot because he hadn’t done much,” Reid said.
“Tom will be out there in full training today and for the remainder of the week.”
Jason Winderlich is an outside chance to line up this week as he recovers from a heavy knock to his knee suffered against the Bulldogs in Round 7.
Winderlich escaped serious damage to his knee but has been sidelined with a slight strain to his lateral ligament.
Reid said the livewire forward was most likely to return to the field following the club’s bye.
“I would be disappointed if he was not back after the bye,” Reid said.
“He is doing well, he has a bit of a problem with his lateral ligament and the tendon that attaches to the knee joint just a bit sore.
“He is walking around un-aided, his knee is stable and there is no fluid on his knee.
“We will probably push him up next week I would think but that is a decision we will make later today,” he said.
David Zaharakis and Brendon Goddard have also both been cleared of serious damage after both receiving heavy hits to the head against the Lions.
