Essendon will finalise its list for the 2015 season when it takes just one live selection into Wednesday’s NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

The club has already committed to taking Jake Long, Conor McKenna and Kurt Aylett in the rookie draft with once rookie spot remaining on the club’s list.

It will be at pick 12 that the Bombers have the opportunity to add another talented youngster to their list.

There has been conjecture the club would select a ruckman with their sole live selection but list manager Adrian Dodoro said the club was yet to make up its mind on who it would take.

“There are some really good players left in the pool so we will have to sit down and make an assessment,” Dodoro said on Monday.

“Obviously we have got Jake, Ariel Steinberg is on the rookie list and we will re-rookie Kurt Aylett as well.”

The club has committed to re-drafting midfielder Kurt Aylett after delisting him from the senior list at the end of the season.

The formalities of selecting Irish recruit Conor McKenna will occur with selection 62 in the draft with selection 47 to be used on taking father/son prospect Jake Long.
