Essendon Football Club would like to congratulate Paul Chapman and his partner Lauren Smyth on the safe arrival of their first child, baby boy Myles.

Myles was born on Wednesday night and Chapman said both mum and baby were doing well.

“Both mum and bub are healthy and doing well,” Chapman said.

“Loz was amazing and I am so proud of both of them.”

Chapman enters his first season at Essendon after being recruited to the club in October. He played 251 games for Geelong since his debut in 2000.
