Watson became the sixth Essendon player to win the award when he took hom the 2012 Brownlow Medal by four votes from Trent Cotchin and Sam Mitchell.

James Hird - 1996 Brownlow Medal
It was a three way tie in the 1996 Brownlow Medal between Hird, Michael Voss and Corey McKernan. McKernan was inelgible to win the award after being suspended during the season making it a tie between Hird and Voss.

Gavin Wanganeen - 1993 Brownlow Medal
Wanganeen took out the 1993 Brownlow Medal by just one vote ahead of Gary Hocking and Greg Williams. It kicked off a big week for the Bombers as they went on to win the 1993 premiership later in the week.

Graham Moss - 1976 Brownlow Medal
Graham Moss won the award ahead of Peter Knights in a year in which he captain the red and black. The ruckman, now a member of the AFL Hall of Fame was a known vote getter when it came to the Brownlow Medal count.

Dick Reynolds - 1934, 37, 38 Brownlow Medal
Reynolds sits among the games elite as one of only a handful of players in the history of the league to win three medals.
