Essendon assistant coach Mark Harvey has given the strongest indication yet that he is ready to sever links with the club he has called home for the past 22 years. Harvey was in Perth today meeting with Fremantle Dockers coach Chris Connolly and he spoke to the media prior to the meeting. ""I will have a clear decision tomorrow what I am thinking, right now I am leaning towards Fremantle,"" Harvey said.

Harvey and his wife Donna later met Connolly at the club’s headquarters at Fremantle Oval. The Dockers have made it clear that they are interested in luring Harvey across the Nullabor to join their coaching staff.

""A lot of people I am close to in Melbourne have thought I might have got comfortable having been at Essendon for more than 20 years,"" Harvey said. ""I thought I had to ask myself that question and perhaps it is time that I had a look at things on the other side.""
