The Bombers lost defender Matt Dea before the game, with Jason Ashby called up to replace him.

Joe Daniher, Mark Jamar and Mitch Brown started as the marking targets in attack.  Mathew Stokes, Darcy Parish and Orazio Fantasia were also in the forward half.  Stokes lined up on in-form defender Heath Shaw, while Fantasia also spent time on the former Magpie.

It was a strong mark to Jamar three minutes in that provided the Dons opening goal.  He was later reported for abusive language.

In defence Paddy Ambrose is opposed to Jeremy Cameron, James Gwilt is going with Jonathan Patton and Michael Hartley is playing on Rory Lobb.

Fantasia proved a livewire in attack, kicking two goals in the term.

The Bombers were efficient moving forward, scoring four times from their first seven forward 50 entries.
