Essendon Football Club is excited to announce fundraising for the club’s new High Performance Centre has passed the $800,000 mark.

We would like to thank all supporters that have so far donated to the Flight Plan for the club’s new facility near the Melbourne Airport.

The current total stands at $806,268 from 3,028 donors.

Essendon Chairman David Evans said he was delighted with the progress of the project in the last few months.

“As we approach the end of the year, it is extremely exciting to see the grass has now been laid on the MCG sized oval and we can now look forward to our first training session on the ground in early 2013,” Evans said.

“The look and feel of the entire precinct is also starting to evolve with the goal posts erected on both ovals and the frame work of the hangar style roof on the indoor training hall taking shape.”
