Hardingham is a 21-year-old, 184cm West Australian who impressed coaches with his willingness to attack from the half-back line in the Shepparton intra-club match.
Bock is a 19-year-old, 205cm South Australian rookie-listed ruckman who had some nice touches around the ground in that intra-club game while 175cm, 18-year-old West Australian Travis Colyer was the club's third pick (No.26 overall) in the 2009 National Draft. Colyer displayed some good form matched up against Jake Melksham in Shepparton.

Another shoulder injury ruined John Williams' 2009 season and he failed to play a senior game for the Bombers despite making his debut in the final game of the previous season. The high leaping medium sized forward was delisted at the end of the season but re-drafted onto Essendon's 2010 rookie list and the club believes he has potential.
