Essendon vice-captain Joe Misiti made a special visit to the Starlight Express Room at the Royal Children's Hospital earlier today. Misiti was joined by the Western Bulldogs vice-captain Brad Johnson to help promote the Round 19 match between the two clubs. Misiti said the team has a lot of improvement left in them and they are aiming to win the last four games to secure a finals position.""It will be a tough game against the Bulldogs. They are in good form and it is always a hard battle when we play them. We just have to make sure we keep winning so we stay in the top eight,"" Misiti said.

For the first time this season Essendon has won three successive games in recent weeks when they defeated Brisbane, Melbourne and Carlton. Despite the game against Carlton not being one of the team's best performances for the season, Misiti said the main things is they got the four points. ""The game against Carlton wasn't the best we have played. It was windy conditions and Carlton just played a man on man game of football. We have spoken about that game earlier in the week but now we are just concerned about the Bulldogs. We drew with them in the match last year at the Dome, so hopefully on Sunday we can come away with the points,"" Misiti said.

Essendon and the Bulldogs will compete for the Whitten Cup on Sunday. The club's compete for the cup once a year in honour of the late Ted Whitten. The Bulldogs currently sit at the bottom of the ladder and Johnson said the club wants to end the season on a high note after a fairly disappointing season. ""Our form for the last four matches will be the catalyst for the pre-season and also next year. We want to finish the season in winning form,"" Johnson said.
