From glorious throwbacks to lifestyle and health and wellbeing tips, exclusive draft stories, light-hearted content and activities to do at home, you’ll be able to enjoy engaging content offerings over the next two months across Essendon’s website, app and social media platforms.

Podcasts

We’re delighted to launch Dodcast, a mini-podcast series with Adrian Dodoro (GM of list and recruiting) beginning next week. Dodoro will share never-before-told stories from his 22 years in recruiting at the club, sharing insights on Bombers stars past and present.

The popular DON AIR will continue, with David Zaharakis and Orazio Fantasia connecting from their homes and inviting special guests.

Historical content 

This week, you would have seen Dons Digital commence its #HighlightOfTheDay series. This will continue each day until footy returns, while highlights of a classic match will be shown on the website and app each week. 

We’ve also engaged a few very special Bomber legends for more episodes of the Red & Black Rewatch, while five members of Essendon’s 2000 premiership team will take their seat on the Amart couch to share unique recollections of that magnificent day, 20 years later.

You’ll be able to get involved in our historical content from home, so stay tuned for a new initiative.

Lifestyle content

During these challenging times, it’s more important than ever to look after your mental and physical wellbeing. Our own Sean Murphy (head of strength and conditioning) and David Reid (mental skills coach) will share weekly tips to keep you at the top of your game. 

Need some inspiration in the kitchen? We’ll delve into the archives to share signature recipes from Bombers stars of the ‘90s, but it’s fair to say players have healthier diets these days, so we’ve got a couple of new Dons Dishes episodes so you can eat like a current Bomber.

While you’re cooking, you’ll be able to stream some of your favourite players’ playlists. The players will also share their film and television show recommendations. 

Light-hearted content 

Stay tuned for new series Baby Bombers and Bomber Brackets. Baby Bombers will put players’ knowledge of their teammates to the ultimate test, with their baby photos sure to make you laugh. Bomber Brackets will identify a player’s favourite thing through a process of elimination.

Activities

Need to keep the kids busy while we’re all stuck at home? Head to the website to download Bombers caricatures they can colour in and keep your eyes peeled for more kids’ activities.
