Essendon has hit the track in anticipation for the side's round one clash against Fremantle on Saturday.

While an air of uncertainty still surrounds the start of the AFL season, the Bombers are preparing to play this weekend if the opening weekend of matches go ahead.

The squad enjoyed a two-hour field session, with players fine-tuning their skills in glorious conditions at the NEC Hangar.
