Essendon has finalised its talented squad for the 2020 Robert Rose Foundation Victorian Wheelchair Football League (VWFL) season.

Each club is able to retain four players from the previous year’s list, and this year the Dons opted to hang on to Caleb Logan, James Leonard, Nicholas Briant alongside captain Louis Rowe.

That left six positions available on the list and Essendon was able to re-draft 2019 Bombers Anthony Perito and Sam Maraldo, and also add ex-Hawks Jason Jinks and Antony Arulnesathasan, ex-Pie William Taylor and newcomer Mark Walker.

The Bombers showed plenty of promise last year to narrowly miss out on a Grand Final berth on percentage alone.

The 10-round season is set to begin on Sunday, May 24, when Essendon takes on Richmond at Boroondara Sports Complex.
