Star forward Jake Stringer will lead a strong contingent of senior players lining up in the VFL Bombers’ practice match against the Northern Blues at Ikon Park on Friday night. 

Taking part in the clash has always been part of the club's pre-season plan for Stringer, who has thrived in a pre-season free of interruptions and will add valuable class and experience to the VFL side.

The senior Bombers will first take on West Coast in the Marsh Community Series on Thursday evening, and all four emergencies from that team – forward Josh Begley, draftee Nick Bryan, and midfielders Dylan Clarke and Kobe Mutch – have been named to take part in Friday’s practice match.

Fans will also get their first look at an athletic new Bomber at Ikon Park, with Northern Irish recruit Ross McQuillan also joining the side for his first competitive game in the red and black.

The game is set to begin at 6:30pm.
