Essendon has announced it will be travelling to Bendigo for next month’s 2020 AFL community camps.
The regional Victorian town located 150km north-west of Melbourne will host the Bombers on February 13-14.
Essendon’s two-day stay in Bendigo will feature an open training session at Queen Elizabeth Oval, school clinics, hospital visits and the chance for local Bombers fans to get up close and personal with their heroes at player signing sessions.
Bendigo holds historical significance for the club, with the town having fielded Essendon’s then-VFL affiliate Bendigo Bombers from 2003 to 2012.
Stay tuned to the Bombers’ social media accounts and website for further updates and coverage as the community camp nears.
