ESSENDON TO KICK OFF FINALS SERIES
Essendon will face Fremantle this Friday night in the first Elimination Final. It is a repeat of the Round 21 match except with one major difference. The venue for this knock-out final is Subiaco, not The Dome. It is the first time the clubs have met in a finals match. Essendon will travel to Perth midway through the week to prepare for the must-win final. The final will commence at 6.40pm local time on Friday evening.

Saturday, September 6th: Second Elimination Final Adelaide v West Coast – AAMI Stadium
Second Qualifying Final Collingwood v Brisbane – MCG (N) This is the Series Ticketed match
Sunday, September 7th: First Qualifying Final Port Adelaide v Sydney – AAMI Stadium
Round 22 was predicted to be a big round and it didn’t disappoint. The three blockbuster games – Collingwood v Essendon, Fremantle v West Coast and Port Adelaide v Adelaide - were all close, high standard matches. Collingwood kick started the round with a 16-point win against arch-rival Essendon and in one of the matches of the season, Fremantle was too strong for West Coast, winning by 14-points. Port Adelaide finished its outstanding home and away season today with a 16-point win against home-town rival Adelaide.
