Bomber fans didn’t get to see much of John Williams in 2008 with the 20-year-old Queenslander playing just one game in his debut season.
 
The fans gave Williams – who was taken with pick 5 2007 pre-season draft – a 3.46/10 admitting it was hard to really rate his season.
 
At 188cm and with a great leap Williams is a player who could easily see his rating jump in 2009.

Ben White - Only played the one game at the end of the year, not ready for AFL football yet and needs to come on a fair way next season.

Rachael Lee Hawthorn - John Williams only played one game for us this year, hope he gets more games to play next season. Good luck John.

Max Rodwell - First thing this kid did on the field was to take a fairly spectacular mark, but also needs game time. Until then I will reserve my opinion.

John Hartman - Shows some promise, needs a big preseason under his belt.

Rod Ansell - Only had one game but showed some positive signs. Will need to increase his size over preseason and his ability to read the play. He must aim to play six or more games next year.

James Brown - Hardly saw him. Hard to rate. He is a maybe player... he could go either way. Hopefully he comes good. Fingers crossed.

Alan McCready - Could be the new Birdman, but has a lot to work on.

Ricke Dovey - Hard to rate a player that played one game and I know little about. But I have heard good things about John and wish him luck with his football career...hopefully at Essendon!

Nicholas Morrey - Is a solid young player and will need a pre-season under his belt before we can see his maximum potential.

Mark Amante - A project player at the moment. Can be anything.

Natalie Young - Only one game in 2008 but there is going to be plenty more in 2009!! He is going to be a regular player in the future. Keep up the awesome work and boy can you fly!!!

Matt Milburn - A promising debut in a match most Essendon fans want to forget, good hands with two great marks against St Kilda. With a solid pre-season behind John I'm sure he'll have more games under his belt in 2009.
