Essendon VFL live wire Anthony Tipungwuti has been awarded the VFL goal of the year for his phenomenal solo display against North Ballarat in round two.

Tipungwuti at his electryfing best leaps high to intercept a handball before faking two players and dribbling the goal on his left boot.

It was one of a number of exciting moments for Tipungwuti during the 2014 season as he continued to develop his game up forward and across halfback.

Tipungwuti’s effort was judge goal of the year by the ABC TV commentators and revealed during half time of Sunday’s VFL Grand Final at Etihad Stadium.
