ROBRAN DELISTED, MOORCROFT MAY STAY
Essendon delisted key position player Jonathon Robran late this afternoon. Robran joined the Bombers from Hawthorn at the beginning of the 2000 season but he could manage only a handful of games in his time at Windy Hill. ""Jonathon was frustrated by his lack of opportunities and it was likely to be more of the same next season. We wish him the best in his future endeavours,"" Essendon football manager Matthew Drain said. Robran, 29, played just seven senior games for Essendon and did well when called upon. While Robran, John Barnes, Damien Hardwick and Dean Wallis will be missing from the Essendon senior list submitted to the AFL on Wednesday, Gary Moorcroft will be included.

Moorcroft was told recently that the club was going to find it difficult to keep him because of salary cap pressures. However, the club may now be in a position to put an offer to him. ""We will have to sit down and work out exactly where we sit with regards salary cap,"" Drain said. ""We are hopeful of being able to put an offer to Gary that is suitable."" The final club lists will be submitted to the AFL on November 16th.
Jonathon Robran played 75 games with Hawthorn before crossing to Essendon. He will now nominate for the draft.
Essendon will go into the December 19 Rookie Draft with three selections after David Johnson and Adam Switala were today de-listed by the Bombers. Both Johnson and Switala spent two seasons at Windy Hill. Johnson, the younger brother of Mark, struggled with injury for most of last season. Switala, who joined the Bombers from Central Districts in South Australia, spent a brief period on the Essendon senior list towards the end of 2001. Marcus Kenny has been re-rookied by the Bombers while Damien Peverill has been promoted to the senior list.
