The Essendon Football Club today announced that Richard Cole has been delisted.

Cole was traded by Collingwood to the Bombers in 2005 for pick number 23.

He was their pick 11 in the 2001 draft.

He played four games for Essendon in 2006 with injury ruining his season.

In 2007 the 24 year-old played three games for Essendon taking his tally to seven games for the Club and 63 AFL games in total.

Essendon Chief Operating Officer, Travis Auld, said the Bombers wish him well in the future.

""We want to thank Richard for his time here at the Bombers and we wish him all the best in whatever he decides to do in the future,"" he said.
