Champion Essendon full back Dustin Fletcher has signed a new two-year deal with the Bombers that will keep him with the Club until at least the end of the 2008 season. Fletcher turns 31 next month and this latest contract will ensure he finishes his career as a one-club player.

The new contract could possibly take the veteran defender to 300 games for Essendon, making him only the fifth player in the history of the Club behind Simon Madden (378 games), Dick Reynolds (320), Tim Watson (307) and Garry Foulds (300) to do so.
