The club is excited to announce the launch of a new general admission membership product, the 'Active Area', which is now available for purchase.

For the 2015 season we have split the cheer squad bay into two separate membership sections. 

The first is an invite only section - Essendon Cheer Squad -and will take up the first few rows of the bay.  The second section will be referred to as the ‘Active Area’ which entitles fans to general admission access to all Essendon home and away games in Victoria with exclusive access to this bay. 

The revised Cheer Squad structure consists of current cheer squad members that have demonstrated a high level of involvement throughout the 2013 and 2014 seasons.  This group has been capped at 100 members.

What can you expect from the Active Area? This exclusive membership area will consist of some of our loudest, proudest and passionate supporters who will assist the cheer squad in increasing the atmosphere and providing positive encouragement for the team.  

“We have a tremendous supporter base that really galvanized around the club in recent years and we’ve seen what fan-driven initiatives like #StandByHird and #BackOurBoys can deliver on game day," said Head of Marketing and Brand, Ryan McKee.

"Our hope is that by creating a section such as the Active Area, we are providing a vehicle for fans to deliver that atmosphere and truly impact our games.”
