Captain Jobe Watson has received all the praise from the coaches after his stellar performance in Saturday’s win.
Watson arguably had his best game of the season so far collecting a game high 36-disposals, laying five tackles and kicking one goal.
Both coaches agreed that Watson was the clear best on the day awarding him with the maximum 10 votes.
Coach James Hird praised the captain’s best-afield performance following the game describing him as “an incredible leader” who only continues to improve.
Defender Cale Hooker also continued his solid start the season collecting seven votes from the game, moving him into sixth place overall in the AFL.
It was an Essendon whitewash with no Carlton players receiving votes.
