David Myers wasted little time getting back in the swing of things.  He had seven possessions in the first ten minutes.  He also set up Cale Hooker for a goal with a booming left foot kick late in the term.

Adelaide played one man loose behind the ball in the first quarter.  Essendon’s extra player is at the contest.

Brendon Goddard was taken off the ground with an ankle problem midway through the first quarter.  He returned to the field in the second term.

The Bombers dominated (15-4) the clearances in the first term and also won the contested possession count (35-33).  The Crows are number one in both areas in the AFL this season.

Adelaide dominated the possession count (22-9) early in the second term and kicked two goals on the back of it.

Essendon then sent Goddard behind the ball to play as an extra man.

By midway through the second term the Bombers had turned the ball over 16 times in their defensive half, allowing Adelaide to kick five straight goals.
