Kyle Hardingham has joined the chorus of support backing VFL-listed Bomber Daniel Coghlan to be picked up by an AFL club next year.
After yet another dominant season, Coghlan has established himself in the top echelon of midfielders in the VFL.
“I definitely think someone of his capabilities can make it,” Hardingham said.
“He has the ability to win his one-on-ones, then get to the next contest is what separates him from your average VFL footballer to that next level.”
Coghlan has continued his brilliant run in the VFL Bombers’ finals series, averaging 25.5 disposals as well as booting one goal.
Hardingham reiterated that Coghlan would thrive if given an opportunity at the elite level.
“If he was given the same full-time role as everyone else in the AFL on a full program and living day-to-day life in football he could be that next superstar like Michael Barlow, who also came up through the VFL,” he said.
“He definitely is someone that I hope AFL clubs are looking at, but to see him at Essendon would be an awesome thing to see.”
