After a long 12 months of donning the ponytail, Bomber defender Michael Hurley looks set to finally shave it off in a bid to raise awareness for a charity close to his heart, the Make a Difference Foundation.
Michael has worked closely with the MAD Foundation over the last four years.
The foundation is run by volunteers and helps disadvantaged children and young people.
“Such a little thing like cutting your hair can create awareness; it can impact people’s lives,” Hurley said.
Hurley hopes to raise $10,000 to help buy equipment and assist future research.
“I’m not sure how I am going to go raising it but I thought I would give myself a goal and something I can achieve,” Hurley said.
Bomber supporters and the wider AFL community can get involved by donating online here.
“Our loyal supporters have been very faithful throughout my journey, a little bit all adds up and I’m sure the MAD Foundation would be very grateful for their support," Hurley said.
