Bendigo Pioneers defender Marty Hore will make his VFL debut with Essendon this Friday night.
The 19-year-old, originally from Leitchville-Gunbower Football Club, is set to line up as the 23rd man under lights in in front a massive hometown contingent in Bendigo.
“It’s a great opportunity to play at a higher level and a challenge I am really looking forward to,” Hore told the Bendigo Advertiser.
Hore has played every Pioneers match this season playing off the wing and half-back flank. He’s has been praised for his elite kicking and evasive skills.
“I've learnt a lot in my first year with the Pioneers and worked on being as fit as I could be,” he said.
