Essendon VFL forward Kyle Hardingham believes the Bombers could push for the premiership after they progressed to a Preliminary final spot on Saturday afternoon.
The Bombers now face Williamstown next Sunday, with the winner to play-off in the Grand Final.
“For me, I’ve been at the club for six years now and haven’t won a final, so to win two finals now builds that belief even further,” Hardingham said.
“Anything’s possible from here.”
After finishing fifth, the Bombers are the first side since 2013 to progress to the final four after Footscray bowed out of the finals with consecutive losses.
Hardingham declared the side has adapted to the ‘finals’ brand of football and are thriving on the big stage.
“The way we’re playing finals football is great,” he said.
“It’s a contested style football and everyone is playing their role.
“That’s what’s building the belief.
“We’ve done it the last 10 weeks, so there’s no reason why we can’t go all the way.”
Hardingham continued his brilliant form in Saturday’s Semi-Final, booting three goals to take his season tally to 38.
He was acknowledged for his standout season last week when he was named in the forward pocket of the VFL Team of the Year.
“I’ve just gone back to basic footy,” he said.
“In the past I’ve tended to over-think everything.
“Having the boys around me and the actual structure that we’ve got sorted at the moment is making it a lot easier.
“It’s just amazing to be playing up there at the moment.”
