Essendon will be searching for increased discipline in its ball movement when it takes on Greater Western Sydney this Sunday.

The Bombers are coming off an 87-point loss to the Western Bulldogs, in which the side managed 41 inside 50’s but only five goals.

“We know we can do it, we’ve just got to be disciplined in the way we play and the way we move the ball because we know when we do what we want to do we can do it and we do it well,” Essendon defender Marty Gleeson said.

“That’s what we’ve just got to keep working on at training and then game day – just being able to be consistent in what we do with the way we move the ball.”

The side has conceded 39 goals in the last two weeks; with Gleeson acknowledging the Bulldogs clearances were particularly damaging.

“We thought we let them get out too easily from stoppages and they’re obviously a very fast and young side,” Gleeson said.

“When you’re playing the Bulldogs you can’t do that at all, that plays in to their hands and we paid the price.”

The Bombers could welcome back a number of senior players for the match against the Giants.

Paul Chapman, David Myers and Heath Hocking played in the VFL last weekend while Michael Hurley could reurn after missing the match against the Bulldogs with a knee problem.
