Despite some late goals and Fantasy points, the trip west wasn’t one to remember for Essendon fans and Fantasy coaches.
Six Dockers cracked the Fantasy ton to only three Bombers as the home team won the numbers 1681 to 1469.
The versatile Brendon Goddard top scored with 119 thanks to his 35 disposals and six tackles. Midfielders Jobe Watson (108) and Brent Stanton (106) worked tirelessly while new DPP Zach Merrett (86) racked up 23 disposals.

ON THE RADAR
Michael Hibberd (DEF, $434,000) dropped $12K and is now very close to bottoming out in price as his breakeven sits on 92. He would be a defender worth upgrading an underperformer to for a good price.
For those riding Jake Melksham’s low breakeven, the time is up as he dropped $26K after his 39 points on Saturday night. Look to upgrade him this week.
Put David Zaharakis (FWD/MID, $426,000) on your watchlist. Don’t select him this week, but when his breakeven drops from the current 111 and we see some good form, he will be a worthy forward option. Zaharakis gained FWD status last week and as he averaged 96 points last season, he could be in the mix as a top 10 forward come seasons end.
WHAT’S COMING UP
Friday night the Bombers take on North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.
Last time the two sides met, the 2014 Qualifying Final, Dyson Heppell top scored with 117. He racked up 34 disposals and I for one hope that he has another massive game after picking him up last week.
