Tom Bellchambers has had back-to-back weeks of 40 hit-outs since his return against the Richmond in round ten. Essendon finished with 43 hit-outs for the match, six more than GWS.

Michael Hartley finished with a game-high of 13 one percenters, equalling his best for the season against Brisbane in round two. Last year Hartley broke the Club record for total one percenters in a season with 185 and currently sits 22nd most one percenters in Essendon history, Dustin Fletcher is first with 1,568 career one percenters.

Jobe Watson was back to his best on the weekend finishing with 28 disposals, seven tackles, six clearances and eight marks.

Cale Hooker finished with a game-high of three goal assists and also kicked two goals. Josh Green finished with three goals for the match, the highest for any Bomber on the night.

Essendon had 17 marks inside 50, compared to GWS nine. The Bombers also had nine individual goal kickers and Brendon Goddard played his 300th game, making him the 80th player in AFL/VFL History to reach the milestone.
