Essendon List and Recruiting Manager, Adrian Dodoro, is pleased with the additions to the playing list following both the trade and draft periods.

Dodoro and his team identified a number of gaps in the Bombers' list and believe that they have selected a wide variety of players that will add great depth to the team.

The Bombers had their most active trade period in recent times, having been restricted by trade sanctions over the last two years.

“I think we’ve made the adjustment givent he sanctions over the last few years," said Dodoro

“When you have sanctions, you can’t pick ultimately the players  that you want and your strategy does suffer."

Free of sanctions, the Bombers were able to add 11 new players to its list - executing the recruiting strategy to a tee. 

“What we’ve been able to do this year (is) pick up quality player like Francis and Parish in the draft.

“Here today there is some exciting talent at the footy club and I’m sure our fans would be rapt to see that we’ve got some real, genuine talent at the Club.”
