Essendon Football Club will host a Relay for Life fundraiser at Windy Hill nin February as part of its partnership with the Cancer Council. Money raised goes to cancer research, education and patient support programs and the Club hopes to attract 50 teams of 10 people to what is a unique and moving event.

Essendon Community Affairs coordinator Adam Ramanauskas has urged Bomber supporters to organise groups of 10 to take part in the overnight event that runs over Friday, February 9th and Saturday, February 10th.

""This is an important fundraiser for the Cancer Council and I am sure it is something that Essendon supporters will want to get involved with,"" Ramanauskas said. ""It is about remembering but also about looking forward, being positive and having fun.""
