General manager of football operations Paul Hamilton said key position players including Stewart Crameri and Kyle Hardingham were progressing well with their post-season recovery.
“Overall, we’re pleased with how a number of the players are tracking, particularly at this time of year,” Hamilton said.
“Our medical and fitness teams are implementing training regimes to ensure the injured players are carefully monitored but are able to get some workload into them.
“Stewart Crameri is progressing well with his recovery and has been able to do most of the training apart from contact work,"" he said.
Versatile defender Kyle Hardingham continues his recovery from a shoulder injury and is making steady progress.
“He is on a modified training program but is progressing well. We have been conservative with his rehab with his shoulder, but we want to ensure a full recovery and he is on track with that,” Hamilton said.
“He is able to join in running activities but he is on a modified skills program.
“Alex Browne, who strained his right quad a few weeks ago, is tracking well and is undergoing personalised recovery programs with the rehab group,” he said.
Hamilton said key runners Jason Winderlich and Courtenay Dempsey are also tracking well with their ACL injuries, after the pair recently resumed modified training regimes.
“It has been a long road for Jason and Courtenay but we are happy with where the two are at. They are both tracking well and building up their fitness base for the challenge of the season ahead.”
