Essendon Football Club ismourning the loss of Maxine Corcoran, who passed away this week, aged 57.
Maxine, wife of Essendon peopleand development manager Danny Corcoran, was diagnosed with a brain tumor sixweeks ago and sadly lost her battle on Tuesday.
Essendon coach James Hird said the Essendonfamily had lost a truly wonderful person who will be deeply missed.
“Maxinewas so cheerful, happy and enthusiastic about life,” Hird said.
“Shewas a wonderful mother of three and dedicated wife to Danny who shared a passionfor sport and coaching athletes.”
“Onbehalf of the Essendon Football Club, our thoughts and prayers are with theCorcoran family during this challenging time.”
Maxine was a 400m relay bronze medalist at the EdmontonCommonwealth Games in 1978 and was heavily involved in grass-roots sport as acoach at Glenhuntly Athletics Club and Caulfield Grammar and was operationsmanager for the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.
