Jobe Watson finished with a game high 20 contested possessions, eight more than Fremantle’s highest contested possession winner, Nat Fyfe (12).  Watson also had a game high of eight clearances. The Bombers finished with 147 contested possessions to Fremantle’s 127.

The number four was very significant on Sunday for many reasons including Essendon’s number four, Jobe Watson’s last home and away game. Zach Merrett and James Stewart finished equal game high four goals, Conor McKenna had four rebound 50’s and a game high of four bounces.

Tom Bellchambers had another strong performance against the Dockers with 38 hit outs, 16 disposals, 100 per cent disposal efficiency, ten marks and one goal.
