The ‘House of Horror’ lived up to all expectations today for Essendon supporters’ when the Bombers defeated Fremantle by 60-points. Essendon’s performance should answer some of the critics who have raised questions about them being serious finals contenders. In what is becoming common practice this season James Hird was inspirational in the victory. The Bomber skipper was at his brilliant best and collected 26 possessions and booted one goal.
Peverill's hard work wasn't over when he got on Essendon's senior list – in fact the hard work had just began. He now had the task of cementing a spot in the senior line-up and proving that his performance in his first season of senior football at Essendon wasn't just a fluke. Peverill is renowned by his teammates for being one of the hardest workers on the track and his determination and dedication has paid off.
