Essendon VFL has named an extended squad to face Footscray on Saturday afternoon.

Mitch Brown will return through the VFL, after only playing six games this season, due to two ankle injuries.

Brent Stanton and James Ferry have also been named in the Dons line-up, after missing last week's win over Box Hill.

The Bombers are seventh on the ladder, one win out of the top four.
