Essendon has made two changes to its line-up with Travis Colyer and Patrick Ambrose set to return for the side’s crucial clash with North Melbourne.

Sunday’s match will be Colyer’s first for the year after recovering from a long-term foot injury and showing he has lost none of his speed and ability in three consecutive strong performances in the VFL.

Ambrose returned to the field in the VFL last weekend after overcoming a minor calf strain and will slot into the vacant defensive spot left by injured sweeping defender Mason Redman.

Small forward Josh Green is the other omission as the Bombers look to continue their impressive purple patch of form against the similarly in-form Kangaroos, with both sides entering the match following four wins from their last five outings.
