A big crowd of more than 45,000 fans are expected at Etihad Stadium on Friday night for the Bombers’ round one clash with Adelaide.
With limited tickets still available, Essendon Chief Marketing Officer Justin Rodski is encouraging members and fans to upgrade to a reserved seat.
“Tickets sales are tracking really well with limited availability now,” Rodski said
“There will be some tickets available at the gate tomorrow night but I would strongly encourage upgrading to a seat if you are a flexi member.”
“Based on current ticket sales we are likely to break our attendance record against Adelaide at Etihad Stadium, which was set back in 2002 when we had 40,322 on a Friday night.”
“The final crowd number will really depend on our reserved seat member show rate on the night, but all indications suggest it will be a really big red and black crowd.”
Fans should make sure not to miss the club’s pre-game entertainment including a replay of Essendon’s astonishing comeback win against Adelaide on the big screen.
The club will also honour Gavin Wanganeen as its first Bomber Legend of the year among plenty of other exciting entertainment before the Bombers clash with the Crows.
Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 7:30pm to ensure they don’t miss out on any of the action.
